PotD – 01/04/10
I traversed the country twice last year by car, and took a lot of pictures through the course of the trips. I’m still sorting through them, so I’m sure some will come up here and there.
This was very much a spur of the moment, amateurish shot: the short burial mound looking pillar in the center of the stage, the cloud drifting over the mountaintops behind it, with the edge of the car blacking out the corner and eerie reflections from the car window matted over everything. I really like the effect. It’s like the view from some otherworldy visitors, dipping in from the ethereal to ensure the pristine canyons remain untouched.
